285, e load sidewall, stock wheels, 12 psi.  Yessss. 8 psi for deep sand, 12-15 for general offroading,  35-40 street.

18-20 won't even bulge the sidewalls, I'll compromise and go as high as 15, happy?

I'm going to air down to different pressures and make footprint sketches to prove my point

Agreed. I don't even think 18-20 is enough on my BFG AT D Load tires. I'm usually down to 12-14 psi though my truck is lighter than an X.

Careful, GhostX knows how BFG react to 15 or less psi in them.  I know there are a few pics here that show it...

John has skills no one can match, I regularly air down to 12 psi, bomb down washes at up to 70 mph, drifting and wallowing around and have yet to pop a bead.  It took 2 stuck open staun deflators causing me to run 2-4 psi for me to pop a bead at cleghorn.

Looks like he pinched it to hard and Popped the bead. For the last 8 years I have run 12psi even without beadlocks.

If your sidewalls aren't buldging .. then you aren't aired down enough. IMHO if you're aired down and you have more than 15psi... then you might as well not air down.

Sent while mobile, typos likely.
