Title: Johnson valley, Oct 4-6
Post by: SteeevO on August 20, 2013, 10:33:59 PM: Rightfully most people hear the name Johnson valley and shiver thinking of mass carnage, but the truth is that there is over 35 trails from the means dry lake bed and some are stocker w a locker type trails. Like the big easy and fissure mountain. Its a well rounded place that I believe even has some geocaching, a couple mines, and a few other things to check out.

Im Heading out to Johnson valley for camping and wheeling on the evening of Oct 4th and will be there through the weekend. (Oct 6th)
This is a non-organized event. Just heading out to go wheeling but you're all welcome to join. No registration, no schedule, no sponsors. just good wheeling, a good campfire and good people.

If you come and stay the night in our camp, bringing a log or 2 for the fire would be much appreciated.

Well be on means dry lake and should be pretty easy to find.

But I'm betting this time of year is going to be absolutely beautiful and the wheeling is going to be great.

I can be on a repeater as well, I'm not sure if you can reliably hit Big Bears repeater from there... I'm up for suggestions.

Yes, I do admit, Danny got to use his winch for the first time to fish me out of the canyon... That rope was such a pretty blue.
