Ive been using 4wd for the first time going reverse. Its a different feel from 2wd. 4wd reverse feels like a constant brake being applied. Is this normal?

Where you on dirt or on pavement? Try to avoid doing that on pavement it puts a lot of stress on the driveline.
It's normal to have a harder time in reverse in 4x4 when there is grip.

Yeah, I second that.

Yea don't be in 4wd on high traction surfaces. Bad things can happen like...fun

The steering will also feel funny at full lock left or right when in 4WD HI or LOW. Especially if you try a u-turn or as stated, in reverse.

Thanks for all the inputs, i feel reassured that nothing is wrong with my X
