Title: LA County Airshow @ Fox Field: 19-20 March--Blue Angels Feature Performer
Post by: RikRong on January 29, 2016, 09:35:06 AM: I'm not posting this as an organized event, but just throwing this out there because I'm sure a few people would be interested in attending. I'll most likely be attending on Saturday. I love this kind of stuff (I'm an airplane nerd, of sorts) and I know there are few people on here that probably do too. If people decide to come, then we could meet up there and possibly grad dinner or something afterwards.

Post by: RikRong on March 10, 2016, 07:18:11 AM: Looks like we'll be going on Saturday. It's supposed to be in the mid 60's with intermittent clouds, so it'll be a nice day to sit on the ramp and drool over airplanes. Gates open at 0900 and we'll probably be there right at that time, performances start around 1200. We'll be setting up about 200 yards off show center, to avoid the huge crowds in the middle and we should be there early enough to set up a nice camp.

It's the weekend before the Mojave Road trip (April 16 and 17). They have an amazing lineup this year including the Thunderbirds, and it's completely free of charge! Actually, thanks for this. I knew this airshow was out there, but I forgot about it.
