That was pretty interesting. I'm not sure how many of us still have our Xterra's? I still have mine with no desire to ever get rid of it. It works really well for where I live. I have taken it on trails that some people would argue that I was not being honest or it is not capable of. Like most of us they have been modified a lot but the basic platform is really nice.
In looking at those models it looks something like they have brought back the Pathfinder instead of the Xterra. I'd be interested to know all of the off road features it has. I do like they upped the motor and got better MPG. Even unmodified the Xterra got horrible mileage. When they talked about clearance for a larger tire I wish there was some specs listed for what it will accept. Hopefully Nissan didn't go too electronic heavy and interior comfort with this.
When the Xterra first started coming out they certainly marketed it towards the young 20 somethings that like to get a bit off the beaten path. It had a good run and in truth I was sad to see it when they quit producing it. I've had many great memories with mine and because of it have met a whole lot of friends I hope to keep for the rest of my life.

I read yesterday that Nissan has acquire the trademark for Xterra from 2025 to 2027, but they have not announced an actual production date or revealed an official concept vehicle. It noted that any images found on line are all fan concepts. Some do look great though.
Randy and I are looking for a project truck to work on, because we miss the X. It would be great in Colorado. They are very popular here.

I cannot remember if you still have your trailer or not?
-
Nope. Sold it shortly after we move to Colorado.

No more Margaritas on the fly... ???

Let's be real. Still have the blender, now I just plug into the bed of the Tacoma. :D
-
Woody I somehow knew you wouldn't let us down!

I really miss getting together with everybody. Haven't made many connections here. I saw Dale moved to Colorado Springs and we spoke about getting together. I really miss you, Jay, Danny, Tony, Jordan, Steve, and all the adventures we shared.

Definitely a lot of really good times whenever everyone got together. Hopefully you will get in with a good crew there. I've already gone out rock crawling with some of the folks around me so that makes me happy. I'm headed back to the Rubicon this summer but I doubt anyone in SCCX would want to go. :(

I'd go, I just don't have a rig that can handle it. The Tacoma has grown into a mall crawler. 34's and armor and has only seen dirt that is in snow. :-X

It's certainly a trail that you want to be prepared for. I've seen some vehicles go through that didn't have a whole lot of modifications but they did get some body damage. I've also seen some seriously built rock buggies off to the side with people trying to figure out how to get it back up and running. I think if you had some necessary spare parts and don't mind some steep off camber spots you would do fine. I've found just being patient and easy on the skinny pedal getting the right line wins the day.

I see you a lot on Instagram. Is Hellbound you or do they just like your rig?
