I should start out with a confession, I'm here under false credentials. I'll come clean here. I first got involved in off roading with my father in the early 1960's. That old man could make a 1965 Volkswagen Bug go places that 4X4's would think twice about.
Give a fool a 4X4 and it won't keep him from getting stuck, he can just get stuck better. I proved that more times than I'd care to think about with my 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser. That was back in the day that an FJ-40 was an off road TANK, not the yuppie sports mom's SUV it is today. Today I drive a Dodge Dakota Laramie 4X4. (I like my comforts as I'm getting stuck.) Ok, laugh, I'll follow your Xterra anywhere you want to take me.
I do come by this place SORT OF honestly. My son's best friend has an Xterra and that guy is a mountain goat. My son was so impressed with Brian's Xtetta he bought the Off Road Xterra. Unfortunately it will be a cold day in hell before my daughter in law lets my son take HER Xterra off road. Oh well.
I'm very much into off roading, trekking, and just generally getting off of the beaten path. If quail and/or chukker happen to be present in the region and they are in season, SO MUCH THE BETTER!!!
I'm a ham radio operator, KE6KIQ is the call.
