Spring Break, Need Dirt
« on: February 21, 2013, 11:42:42 AM »
Hey everyone, I'm almost to break and need to get some camping/offroading in before I go back to the grind. I'm thinking about sometime around Mid-March. Basically anything after the 17th. I really want to go camping in Anza Borrego and get some desert trails in, havent done any yet but I was hoping to get a group and a little more info if anyones got recent updates. Ive been searching the forums and found some nice stuff. But I'm looking for 2wd friendly and some good camping spots. anyone interested or have any info for me? I'd really appreciate it! Happy Trails

There are a few good guide books out their.  You can get them cheap on Amazon.  Then post up where and when you plan to go.
Post it, and they will come.  I know I will.

Yeah Christiaan,  my front sway bar bracket came loose and the fat rubber bushing fell out.  My new skid plate mounted under the bracket, so I will use loc-tite this time. (or maybe I just forgot to torque it last time :-\).  GhostX has an extra one, but he's kinda hard to find since the new GF ;D
OK John I'll make it pizza and TWO beers.  That's my final offer!

Back on topic to the OP...

There are so many places in SoCal to head out, and timing is everything.

Check out the parameters of posting up a run, and visit the SCCX Desert Xcursion Archive area to get an idea of where the club has traveled.

Several of our members (Frank B., Paulxyz, Soylent Yellow) have great Anza Borrego knowledge and have posted some pretty detailed run reports and photos.

Click here:  Desert Xcursion Archive for more information.

Good luck, and hopefully you can draw a few people out of the woodwork to hit the trails with you!  :)
