Idyllwild
« on: February 22, 2013, 11:29:38 PM »
Went up Bee Canyon today and had a blast.  The snow was fun.  I am taking a friend up on Sunday.  If anyone would like to join, I would welcome the company.  We leave from my house at 10am.  PM me if you're interested.

I might be up for Sunday, I would hike a little when we get to the top, if that sounds good.

I went up later around 1pm on the KLR.  It was a beautiful sunny day and a great ride.  The creek crossing was about a foot deep and then the snow got too slushy for my limited skills on a 400lb dual sport.  I never did catch up with Justin.  Sorry, no pics :-[
Take my word though, you gatta do this trail!

I wish I had taken pics...a fronty buddy and I went up together.  Had a blast but spent an hour and a half helping an idiot get his two wheel drive tundra unstuck about a mile above the creek crossing.  He had spent the night with his truck...no water food.  He and his tweeker lady friend were wearing shorts and flip flops.  Wish I had thought to take pics.

Wow...we all have to remember to be careful out there.  Some real characters "enjoy" the wilderness too.

Photos next time!

Thanks for the quick report, Bee Canyon is a fun run up the west side for sure.

Is KLR the route that starts up the hill from Bee Canyon?

My bad, thanks Ghost.  Yeah I turned around about 3/4 mile after the crossing.  Now I'm really glad I did ::)
