Marshann/RockinX has politely requested to step down from the BOD.

Out of respect for her and her contributions to the club, I have honored the request.

If anyone has questions or concerns, please feel free to PM myself or Marshann.

She will be missed from the BOD, but will remain very active within the club.

Yeah, sorry for the delay in responding.  I didn't realize John was going to make a big announcement.  I had a family issue arise just prior to the Mojave trip and when I returned, I realized I would need to direct my focus on helping out by supporting a family member.  So I probably won't be as active as I have been for a while.  No need for concern though.  We all just do what we need to do.

In the best interest of the club, I thought it would be best to step aside so that someone else could be appointed to the BOD since I would be preoccupied for a while.  Being a BOD should be more than a title under your name, so it didn't seem fitting to me to take up that spot.  Thank you for all the PMs I got.  You are all a class act and I appreciate the kind wishes and support!

Marshann/RockinX

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that has participated in all the club endeavors over the last two years.  It has been a great ride...leading 37 trucks down Rattlesnake Canyon, hosting over 30 trucks at CANVAZ II in Big Bear, and kick starting the Adopt A Trail Program for SCCX after several years of dormancy.

The club also proudly has 19 ham radio operators...pretty cool.

Not to mention all the club Xcursions in between.

Not to mention all the great friends I have made along the way...that won't change.  Those of you that know me...know me.

I am laying down by BOD torch and opening up the spot for someone else that has the patience and energy to be involved with a great group of Nissan Off Road enthusiasts.

My real personal obligations not to mention the involvement with goneMOAB will keep me plenty busy.

See you on the trails soon.

John/GhostX

Once again, I must state for the record: We are not a club, we are enablers for your addiction.

This is sad news. John brought this "FORUM" (not club) back from the dead. I bought my X new in 2006 and didn't participate here because it was too much of a "club". John brought the second coming of SCCX and has worked hard to make it what it has become. A place for everyone. In the past club runs we're only lead by the same few people and in the same fashion. Now it's an open ended come one come all environment making adults responsible for themselves. I have seen, first hand, John promote this site to people he meets in parking lots, on other forums and on trail runs. I've seen him pour his blood and sweat into this place. He even prints and hands out stickers, on his own dime, for everything.
I don't buy that you are too busy.

I love this forum. Not for its platform to learn and talk about the trucks and the trails we all love, but its all the people that participate on SCCX. It's all of you that make this forum what it is today. There's no doubt that John has made a HUGE impact on this forum. We are all indebted to your work here. It's up to all of us to make sure we don't let the Ghost down. All of us that were lucky enough run with GhostX, have learned more than a few things.

Keep it classy, tread lightly, and enjoy.

BTW, just because John has stepped down from the BOD, doesn't mean he's going away.

Thanks for everything Ghost!!

What Danny said!

The part that I high lighted is the closest thing this FORUM has to a mission statement.  Again, well said Danny

Thanks to all, for your faithful encouragement.  No one man or committee could replace John/GhostX.

We will see John on the trails again after MOAB.  But not as a trail leader, just as an exemplary group member having fun.

I will be staying on the BOD as long as it's fun to do so.  This group is completely about it's members.

Things will go about the same as before but with a little less coddling and more stepping up.

I will miss John's coddles :'(  I'm am stepping up to keep this great forum alive and I challenge everyone to do the same.

I don't mean more board members, I mean trail leaders and initiative takers.  This forum of enthusiastic Xterra off roaders is the perfect place to meet and trail with good, quality, fun people.

Thanks to those that responded to John's Comm. Poll.  The members so far have decided that CBs will be the standard.  But hey, if you want to lead a trail of only four trucks using FRS comms, please post it up!  That is what this forum is all about!!!

That's it for now, thanks for working with me through this transition.

See ya on the trail.   Randy/Duffman

Of all the things I've lost...
