Calcite Mine/Sheeps Tank
« on: April 06, 2014, 05:35:50 PM »
Just got home after an awesome weekend with friends and family. Went up to the Calcite mine yesterday then out on the Sheep's Tank trail/Palm wash, then all the way down to the Salton Sea. Found a nice little cutout to camp in the Palm Wash. Some of that area gets pretty rough and we were able to put ourselves into all kinds of really great obstacles. I got some new polishing on the sliders and the plates have nice little scars. This was just one of those trips where everything that could have gone right did and everything that could have gone wrong didn't.............

As a matter of fact yes they did..............   I wish you could have gone it really was a blast, I tried to get Ghost-X to come along but he was talking about some kinda wedding or some such... Between weddings and work I just don't know, it really seems to be putting a serious damper on the good stuff. I never get told I can't go cause she knows I'll start building a fire in the living room and grabbing a gauge to go out and get meat. I guess it's in my DNA.....

Erik...I love that trail, and if I didn't have to be at "the wedding" in Carlsbad yesterday, Daphne and I would have come out.

Great photos, and the weather is perfect this time of year.  :)

Man it would have been nice to have you guys along, lots of gourmet wood fired steak cooked and Coleman stove burritos....... No lacking of conversation at night and as I hear it there was plenty of snoring going on to harmonize along with the black lab aka=Nick that seems to accompany us on all of our trips.
