Everyone is welcome to join in on an easy four wheel drive tour.  This will be held in the Big Bear area on Sunday, June 1st.   Leaving Big Bear Discovery Center at 0830, returning by 1630 hrs.

Along the way, we will be visiting many beautiful places and stopping at several vista points.  Be prepared for a full day in the forest.  Pack a picnic lunch, drinking water, sunscreen and cameras!

Hope to see ya there,

Greg.

Shi and I are in for this one, not sure which X we'll take though.  Either which one, she is going to drive.

We represented SCCX on this run. Started out with 7 jeeps, 1 Bronco, 1 Toyota FJ and 1 Xterra. Ended the day with 4 Jeeps and The Xterra. By the way I think the definition of easy is subjective  ;D, especially when your negotiating the ascents to Greg's Squeeze. Lots of fun!

Thanks for Representing us.  Do you remember what roads he took you on?  Looks like you had a great time in the forest.

We have done a lot of solo trips up there (with a good guide book) but being from San Diego I don't get on these trails or know them as well as I should. The last official SCCX run I was on up there was in 2010 2N61Y, 2N01 and 2N02 with lunch at Rose Mine (when it was still accessible).

This trip I am pretty sure we entered at 2N09 and I know we finished with Jacoby Canyon (3N61) crossed 18 to Cactus flats (bathrooms) and then down 3N03 to 2N02 out at Baldwin and heading for home 316 miles and 13.5 hrs round trip.

Wasn't familiar with the couple of steep climbs that took us to the squeeze and then the single spire with the climbers on it (re photos).
