most of us have cobra 19 or uniden bearcat 520 cb's, they have a smaller size and fit perfectly in the center console. good thing is, they cost like 20$ so its not a huge investment

This is one situation where size does matter.  Smaller radios fit better.  The bigger ones with the fancy doodads allow for fine-tuning the signal strenght and reception quality.  For me, reception quality is more important.

So the tumor is/was for the tarzan yell, its broken so now you use it by holding the mic key and turning the cb on. It is turned up to somthing like 12 watts so i can talk about 20 miles with people if i want, it has the squech, and the reverb in 3 modes (low, high, off). SWR meter built in, The dynamike is modded for somthing i cant remember and neither could my step-dad so ill have to play with that.

My 29 LTD Classic was modded by a previous owner to 32 watts.  Also has DeltaTune to home in on a signal and an  SWR Calibration knob to get the antenna tuned in just right.
I run a 24" FireStik II antenna around town and a 36" for the trails.

I just got a cobra 29 lx. I was thinking of mounting it under the glove box close to the center console to route the wires. Anyone else have mounting pics or ideas for larger cb's?

Last run I just duct taped the the CB to the lid of the center console.. Best temporary mount ever!
