Hello from Las Vegas
« on: April 26, 2016, 11:44:08 AM »
Whats up everyone !

My name is Andrew, I'm one the Vegas Xterra guys and we will be hosting CANVAZ 2016 this year so I signed up here to get all the info out to everyone as I will be organizing the event this year.  I'm sure I have met a few of you in the past and I am looking forward to meeting everyone eventually. My rig is a 2012 Pro4x, Titan swapped,35's, 4.56 gears, hefty armor and tons of other things I have spent way to much on  8) So anyway I will be posting updates on the event and will most likely create a "CANVAZ 2016" Facebook event page as well.

Awesome, looking forward to this.  Just as a heads-up not everyone on here is into FB  O0, soooo you might want to post updates across both pages concurrently.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting up. You have a beautiful rig. Looking forward to CANVAZ 2016!

I'm actually in your neck of the woods today and tomorrow for business but don't have my rig with me. :( I've been dying to get out this way and do some wheeling. I'm usually out here once every 3 months or so, and I'll get my Xterra out here with me one of these times. Any recommendations on a good spot to explore for an afternoon or evening if I'm staying near the strip?

Thanks for the welcome everyone !! So we are planning on October, tentatively the weekend of 10/15. I know some are pro Facebook some are anti Facebook however with the three clubs I think it will be easiest to create a "CANVAZ 2016" group page to coordinate everything. I will start a separate thread on here with that info once I create the page (most likely after goneMoab is done). I will also do my best to keep everyone in the loop on the CANVAZ thread here as well for those that hate Facebook (myself included)  We are going to make this year a fun one for sure !

fourxfunk, yes that is Sedona on the broken arrow trail

Jfanaselle, this is the best time of year to get up to the red rock area/ calico for afternoon hike if you have a way up there its only about 20 mins from the strip.

Great post Andrew...nice to see the Nevada contingent stepping up!

Any thoughts about a run up towards Tonopah, some cool mining ruins out there?

And maybe a "fly by" through Rachel would be fun too.

Looking forward to the FB page and updates!
