Bald Mountain 06/18/16
« on: June 19, 2016, 10:31:17 PM »
This trail is by Shaver Lake near Fresno. Wasn't a difficult trail, but did have some challenges. Lots of open areas to drive where you want. This trip, I was intentional about testing out the ABLS system which I just learned about. I started slipping at few spots then noticed ABLS kicking in and got me moving forward. It works!!! Great and fun trail!!! Camped afterwards too.  :) [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Looks like an awesome day..

I'd remove the step rails before the trail removes them for you.

I know. Thought of that. But getting rock sliders so didn't care much to remove them this time.

Heading north for 4th July weekend, so I might swing through there on the way back.

9 times out of 10, if you catch the step rails on the trail, they will cause body damage.  That's why it's better to remove them beforehand.

Shaver lake is really beautiful, there is some really good wheeling in those mountains around that area.

Awesome pictures!  Nothing like driving on granite...traction galore.

14mm wrench will help you with those side steps...cool trip!
