Front sway bar RUB
« on: April 09, 2017, 05:02:22 PM »
So I guess I haven't noticed it till I lifted my car to work on the replacing fluids but I saw some white ring around the inside of both my front tires. Then looking around some more some some rub marks on the sway bar and I'm pretty set that the tires are running the sway bar during wide turns. Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm running 285 75 16s, installed prg ucas and radflos. Only thing I can think of is needing the new cam bolts(that were never sent by Greg prg) and alligment.
Any input helps

If you installed that front suspension yourself it's going to need an alignment. Raising it up is going to change how your tires sit. Are you noticing any uneven wear more to the outside than normal? Id the rub to the tires even all the way around them or just in one particular spot when it rubs the front sway bar?

Actually it was more uneven before the lift. So I really need to replace cam bolts and get it alignment. What about lower arm controls? Do I need to swap that for after market? Or an after market sway bar?

I have Total Chaos UCA's with the OEM LCA's and have never had any issues with them. They are actually pretty beefy in my opinion. I think an alignment may be the answer with this. If it was more uneven before the swap I would guess that your alignment was really off.
