If I had to guess, I'd say the reason you aren't getting much traction here is because most people who are free this weekend are going on the Cerro Gordo / Salt Trams run that Sage Bromax has been planning for months. The other "active" members who are not going on the run are likely tied up with other obligations this weekend - work, family, etc. Not trying to harp on you, but in general, it's pretty tough to get a good turnout for a run that you put together just a few days before the intended date, especially when you don't have any details in place like date/time/location/rig requirements, and especially over a weekend when people are likely to have made other plans well in advance. That said, it's not uncommon to see people slap together a trip to the desert or the mountains at the last minute, so if you pick a trail and a date and some other details, you might get a few people to show up.

If you don't get any commitments, you can always change it up at the last minute and join that SCXF run. Those guys are very inviting and laid back, and you can probably just just show up at the trailhead before they're ready to get started. They do a potluck style picnic at the end of each run, which I think they usually do in the Silverwood Lake area when they run Cleghorn. Cleghorn is a very fun area and suited for all skill levels and rig capabilities. Plus you'll get out there with a bunch of other Xterra and Frontier owners.
