Ok heres an update. I just talk with the Barry Goldwater Range office and the wild life refugee area office. Heres the break down:

Bary Goldwater Range - 10 trucks max, every truck needs a pass, fire arms are allowed

Wild life rufugee area - No truck limt every truck needs a pass , fire arms are allowed but for peronsal protection only no shooting.

So its looking like it will be 10 truck limt for this run.

Ya are gonna wanna bring some extra fuel. I plan on bring 10 extra gals just to make sure im good. But that stuff should be good.

And a side note a cb is gonna be a requirement for this run since there is very little to no cell service out there.

This does sound like fun.  I drove the BGR last Feb and had a great time.  We got pretty close to the boarder stopping at the sign that says don't go any further.  We turned around and drove near the refuge and parked just before the refuge (didn't have the stamp) and near 3 boarder patrol trucks.  One had a large radar like tower with a camera.  We explained to the agents that we were just geocaching and were taking a break.  They smugly replied, "We know."  Thought that was pretty funny myself as we had no idea they were there watching us the whole time.  Nice to have them on our side.

Anyway, I am planning a couple other trips before the years end but if they fall through and there is still room I would love to go on this one.  I'm a MAYBE.

This isn't Santa's Workshop.  This place smells like mushrooms and everyone looks like they want to hurt me.

I have two 5 gallon fuel cans and one 5 gallon water can which will all make the trip as well as a CB and my HAM radio. This things always hit the trail with me.
