Announcing: Saturday, 08 Dec 2012, we will have a
Technician class in National City.
If you've been waiting for a class further south,
here's your chance.

available if you're motivated to get licensed quickly.

Announcing Saturday, 08 December, National City

One-Day Amateur Radio Technician License Class
This is an entry-level class for beginners, and
previous knowledge about radio or electricity is not
required to take the class or pass the exam.
Date: Saturday, 08 December, 2012
Times: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM for class, 5pm to about 7pm
for exam.
(This includes hourly breaks and a 45 minute lunch.)
Location: National City Area (details provided later)
Costs: The class is free.
The VEC Exam at the end of the day costs no more than
$15 (and often only $5)
Eligibility: Anyone following email instructions to
register and confirm is eligible.
Age limit: None (contact us for teen and pre-teen
considerations)
Seating is limited. Please sign up via email to J

(Unfortunately, we seldom have space for walk-ins - you
must sign up in advance.)
Those who sign up will be emailed detailed instructions
how to confirm registration and study materials to
review before class.
(Those who do not follow registration and confirmation
instructions via email are ineligible to attend the
class.)
There is an email reminder about 10 days before class
with location and what to bring.

The Amateur Radio Service (Ham Radio) has practical
applications from providing emergency communications
and supporting civic events, to education and
recreation.
Those who pass the end-of-the-day exam will receive a
radio license and call sign from the FCC which entitles
them to transmit on VHF and UHF Amateur Radio
frequencies.
