Nia and I would like to do Mojave Road, but lets start off at the old Route 40 at Kelbaker Road or Goffs or Essex Road and go into the Mojave that way and then come out thrugh Soda Lake and down into the 15 by the trestles rail road bridges and to the 15 or through Zzyzx Rd off of the 15.

Also hit the Volcanic cave and lava beds and see the Gnomes and frogs along the way...

Anyone up for that? It would be fun! Saturday and & Sunday or Saturday through Monday?

Or we could go up to Big Bear and do John Bull and camp and explore up there? How does that sound for Memorial Day weekend?

Sorry guys. I injured my left leg I'm going to have to miss the excursion. Do we have anything coming up for June? Perhaps near Anza-Borrego?

 I am still a maybe we have AMI inspection going on so I dont know for sure. Yes mark this is why I want to go to see this stuff and how it has changed. I was shocked to see some of the areas closed off last time. And whatever else paul wants to look at.

Amy and I would definitely be in for the Mojave Road...we were pretty bummed when the last one was canceled.  We'd be up for Sat, Sun and Mon.

Hey Heller it seems like we have a bunch of maybes and no real interest since no one else has repsonded. I sent you a private message about calling me so we can do something and have fun!

I will probably post a run for June but it seems like we a case where our club is dying a slow death since it seems like Brian and Paul & Frank are the only ones consistently trying to set up runs. I will take the blame for not being confident enough to be a trail leader and say I will lead a run in the next few months.

Sorry you feel that way but I didn't spend almost $3,000 dollars on a new engine and clutch only to have my xterra sitting pretty. I look up to guys like Paul because they are consistent and are the go-to guys. Plus, the economy is in tough times and many of us are only trying to survive. That doesn't mean that we love the club less, but only that the xcursion money is going towards bills. What I would like to suggest is that we post up xcursions far more in advance in the calendar section and stick to them.

P.S. If you make a run in June anywhere, I'm in.

Good idea . With the small number of active members in this club I would think if you could get 3 or 4 rigs to go on short notice, you have a successful xcursion.

I am going to be in the Anza Borrego vicinity camping this weekend, near Warner Springs.  I have spoken with Marc(arch'sX) about possibly meeting for a run through Blair Valley or Oriflame Canyon.  I will be monitoring my CB on channel 19 Sunday am, and my ham radio on ECRA 147.030 or 147.150, and also the standard meet freq 146.520.  You can also feel free to call me on my cell phone at seven six 0, four zero 3, zero seven nine 1.

I think Mark1107 comment on the club dying prematurely is a gross exageration.  If we look at the Xcursion's done in the past, attendance always drops during the summer months and picks up again during late fall and early spring.  Don't know why...
