I've got this too. It's very handy to keep a charged battery pack around and easily disconnect it and take it out of the car when spotting someone. My only complaint is the lack of RF gain, which means that I sometimes will not receive transmissions when I'm too close to the source because it will over-power the radio. I have a 4' firestik antenna mounted on the roof. On my Dad's X he has the same antenna mounted on the shrockworks bumper and he has less of a problem with receiving strong transmissions. Out on the trail though, it's not too much of a problem as long as I maintain a few car-lengths from the other trucks it is fine. In terms of overall transmission and reception range though, it is excellent.
