Just received this email from Greg Hoffman. I'm thinking about joining in even though he didn't mention Nissans. Please note his requirements for the rigs. I suspect it is White Mountain he is talking about as far as difficult, but hey I've never been there so to quote a sage young four wheeler I know: YOLO.
So let me know if there is any interest.
I will be leading an exclusive Four Wheel Drive tour Sunday, July 28th.
This was a last minute decision (so don't take it personally). Lots of local history, area geology, flora, fauna and fascinating points of interest to share with you along the way!
So, if you have a good running four wheel drive Jeep, Bronco, Toyota, Chevy, FJ, XJ, CJ, YJ, JK, Willies, Subaru (NOT!) or lifted 4x4 ?
This run is right for you!
The difficulty is rated as a high moderate. Areas will include: Historical Holcomb Valley, Arctic Canyon, White Mountain, Coyote Flat, Grapevine Canyon, Coxey Meadows and other awesome remote areas. All Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers and families are welcome to join in the fun.
Please drive a good running, dependable 4x4 vehicle with a full tank of gas. Bring lots of drinking water, good working CB radio, two BIG meals, overnight gear (just in case!), binoculars, off road recovery gear and a camera for keepsake purposes?!?
We'll be meeting at Big Bear Discovery Center at 0815 and launching onto the trail no later then 0845.
Hope you spread the news!
See ya there,
Ranger Greg.
