Spring is here! Time to unwind, go outdoors and get back to nature.
Serrano Campground opened on February 28th this year and we have certainly been busy since! We ended up opening all the loops in Serrano Campground to accommodate the spring break crowds that decided to go camping instead of snow skiing due to the lack of snow. This is shaping up to be a very busy camping season. Get your reservations in soon, so you will not have to worry about the Sorry Campground Full sign!
Holcomb Valley (a non-reservation, remote campground) has been open all winter with many campers enjoying the solitude. We do have a camp host scheduled to be at Holcomb for the summer.
Barton Flats campground opened on April 2nd and experienced a 50% occupancy rate for the opening weekend. New bear-proof boxes were installed over the winter at Barton Flats, and more are scheduled to be installed in various other remote campgrounds this season. Eventually, all of our campgrounds will have them.
The following campgrounds will open on May 2nd: Dogwood, Pineknot, North Shore, Hanna Flat, Green Valley, Big Pine Flat, Buttercup, Juniper Springs, Ironwood, Lobo and Oso.
The remainder of our campgrounds will be open by May 16th. Check out our Facebook page--
