Moving to Los Angeles from Washington, D.C.
« on: July 26, 2015, 08:07:40 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I'm moving to LA from Washington DC in a couple of weeks to start a new job w/ my company.  Did a fair amount of wheeling on the East Coast and looking forward to seeing what the West Coast has to offer!  I have a 2010 Xterra Offroad w/ F&R steel bumpers + full skids & sliders.   No lift yet, but that's on the short list.

My username is the same on XN and TNX, though my info is a little out of date since I haven't had much time to hit the trails so far in 2015 and tend to be more active on the forums when my truck is caked in a fine layer of dirt.

Welcome to the west coast.  If you have any interest in getting a concealed weapons permit, reside in either San Bernardino or Riverside counties.  That will also put you closer to mountain and desert trails.

Welcome from the High Desert. You'll love the diverse wheeling that So Cal has to offer.

Because you will need it there.  ;D

Says the guy who's San Diego area neighborhood was on lockdown yesterday. ;) Meanwhile, over here in the 2nd safest city in America, they hand out CCWs to practically anyone who wants to pay for them. :)

Oh, by the way, welcome from Murrieta! So Cal will be a fun experience for you. It's the only place in the US where you can snowboard or ski the slopes, go off-roading in the desert, and go surfing at the beach all on the same day. :) Have you looked into where you want to live yet? In what part of LA will you be working?

haha, oceanslime is bad because all the bored transients from riverside and san bernadino would rather do meth near the ocean, who wants to wear a ski mask and rob people, its too hot in the inland valley,  the beach is cool and you can go surfing with the board you just stole, sell it for some more meth, and repeat :D

Welcome, from another SoCal newb. I've already had the chance to get out with Goon and Duff. If everyone in this "not-a-club" is like them, then I know this is going to be a great group of people to hang out with.
