Just moved back from ND
« on: September 21, 2015, 07:28:54 PM »
Hello all, as subject line says. Just moved back and excited to hit some SoCal trails in my Xterra. It's mostly stock as of now. Just has 33" MTRs and an IMS. Purchased a wrecked Titan. So Titan swap including V8 is happening soon. Just piecing together some stuff. Almost there. I'm in the Corona area. Can't wait to get involved as much as I can. Work allowed anyway. My wife is enjoying the overland style trips. She would also be joining on the trail runs when we can make them. Can't wait to meet you all.

Welcome from Murrieta! Corona puts you right between a good group of OC folks and a good (maybe... better?  ::)) group of Inland Empire folks...  :D

Seriously though, welcome and hope to see you out there soon!

We'll need to get a mini-run in here soon.  Maybe up to our Big Bear adopted trail, so someone familiar with it can show me the way, or something like Cleghorn.

Welcome from Orange.  Would love to see an X with a V8.  Good luck.

Welcome from Fallbrook, X2 on the V-8 swap.  We like mods, we love photos.  Be sure to open your own build page.
Also check the Excursions page, we have a lot of trips coming up. See ya on the trail!

Thanks for the warm welcome all. Of in not working I'm game for a run!  Just had some small fire trail fun south of Corona. Indian Truck Trail.  Was just good to be off pavement. The V8 should be done by end of year or January. Just need a few extra parts like pathfinder radiator and some houses. It should be fun. Harness is already bought and Titan is just waiting to be stripped.

Indian Truck Trail is a cool road. Did you go all the way to the top (North Main Divide) and take that road to Santiago Peak? It's not much further once you're at the top of ITT and the views are killer, as long as you don't mind going sterile from the 10,000 radio tower sites.

I was going to, but they were doing some sort of maintenance on the road, so I ended up having to turn around and go down the way I went up. Thinking about going Sunday with the wife.
