Junk Yards

What's the best junkyard in the OC or San Diego area? Looking for a grey 2nd gen right front fender. A slight lack of focus in Death Valley claimed the current one.

By chance I am hitting the San Diego Junkyards this Saturday.  I'll look for what you need and report back.  You are talking the passenger side correct?  Most have had front collisions but which side varies.

You are awesome! Thank you so much. Yes, Passenger side front fender. I caught the corner of a rock right above slider.

Can't tell the color, is that the dark gray almost black color? I would have hunted for a silver gray.

It's the dark grey. Black will also due. It spends most of its life dirty.

You can always try www.car-part.com.  Select your make/model and needed part and let the search engine do the work for ya. It will search all of the USA along wih Canada and Mexico if you want.

I go the the 100 or so down by the border by San Diego.  We got almost everything we needed, could have gotten more but some places want more money than I could buy on Ebay????

Kjswa, there were 3-4  Xterras matching you color, but not one with front fenders intact.  I think out of the 20 or so I looked at there was not one front fender left.  That even includes the 2010 red one that must have had a large tree fall on the roof and still took some damage to the hood and fenders.  It is a 4x4 and the front diff and transfer case is just sitting there in the back waiting for someone doing a 4x4 conversion.  I think its just a matter of timing, many of the Xterras I looked at were new since the last time I was there 4 months ago.

I was also looking for a yellow one for a rear passenger door for a friend and not 1 has been there in the last 3 visits.  I wonder if that means yellow Xterra drivers are more careful/better drivers or they are easier to spot and avoid accidents.....or maybe its the least sold color?

Not sure where all the Junk yards are in the LA area.  I only know of the ones off 605 by El Monte near the Irwindale Speadway.  Anyone know of others, that is not many for all of the LA basin.
