I did bad things to your shovel too Dan,  :-\ I got food poisoning . As for lighting a big fire that stump was only the size of a washing machine and I was Not going to put it on the fire, that is on MARK!!!!! ;D

John, you're alive. Where and how have you been?  We've missed you.

At least we now know how to get your attention: Dan just needs to mention your name.

Mark:
No prob. Just want to add options to the trip - I like down time by a river when pos. swim/fish etc.

I really want to get up into the trees and something more technical than what Brian indicated the club did last year. I am hoping Sherman Pass 4x4 road will be open, which is rated "difficult". Monache 4x4 trail "is" open (moderate) and has a good sized creek (fish) in it. I am also trying to get off the pavement far enough to minimize the Holiday crowd.

Belive me, I prefer to follow than lead as I get older, I did it for a living 20 yrs ago as an outfitter and guide - I'll gladly pass up that job if somebody else wants it.

Its all good! - Have a nice MD Wknd.

The worse part above this was too wet/muddy and dangerous to step outside the truck for pictures.

That trail looks awesome.  You'll have to take us out there sometime.

Goldfish:
Well it turned out quite interesting, went down a whole bunch of marked and unmarked trails/roads - exploring. I did a big chunk of the Sherman Pass Jeep trail - 7 outta ~15 mi before a deadfall to big to cut stopped me. Some pretty funny Jeep trails (plaque on trees) with no apparent trail. It was kinda like a game to find the trail. Fished the upper creeks - lots of small goldens. Had it pretty much to ourselves most the time. I have picts I'll post in the next couple days.

Ya, Got the front a 3 wks ago and the rear last week. Didn't want to put on the bumpers till I found out if my Ins. would cover anything from the ATV that hit my front on my scouting mission for the Idlywild run. Turns out after my ded. would have been only ~$400, so I just let the ins. thing go & put them on.
Went a little ovr brd on Hella - 4-f75's for the top and 2 Blk Magic for the front Bmpr. Gotta send back the Rally 4000's - looked too big 4 my taste - (9"). Prolly have more light than I need - but I like the look!
