cleghorn 7/4/2009
« on: July 04, 2009, 06:41:48 PM »
Cruised out to Cleghorn last night with a few buddies. Ran a bit of the trail, set up camp for the night. woke up in the am decided to give a pretty tough section a shot ended up with my front tire 4-5 off the ground and driver side rear door on a rock against the hill on both attempts.  Ended up backing down to attempt it another day.Due to not wanting to mangle my truck anymore that I did/explode a part or 3 and I had to drive it home. I will be back!

That RTT and Double Tent Cot on my rack(Don't worry Tony, not your double tell cot!) wasn't helping the situation.

Met up with a few guys from another forum that I'm on.. wheeled with them the rest of the trail...

there was some pretty cool rigs in the group

Sweet suby!

I had another tippy spot at the top. had to get a few guys on the bump to bring it down.

Got to use the winch after a bronco 2 slid off the trail and when into a ditch. he also picked up some body damage.

All and all solid day!

Dude, that looks awesome!  I've got to plan a trip out there!
I'm trying to figure out something witty.

Amazing pics Elliot (as always).  But some of that stuff looks like a great way to get seriously hurt.  I'll settle for watching it in pictures, and take your word for it that it's fun.

Thanks Gents...
I guess it's a touch dangerous.... but to be honest getting hurt never crossed my mind. wading up my door did... turned out to be not so bad.

There is bypasses for all of the intense sections so not to worry.

we ran a good portion of the trail in the dark... it was awesome.

I'd like to do a night run soon

One life. Live it.

I'll add the pic I took of PRG Greg the same day Oz ran it.  I thought he was going to roll it.

OMFG!  I couldn't put my wife and kid through that.  And after everything I've invested into my X, I don't think I could stand the sight of rolling it.  I think I'll also settle for just looking at those pics.  I also loved the Suby!
