That's awesome! How long was the wait?

Well...4 months for the first rack (a looong story), and then another 9 months for this one.  So, a little over a year.  ::)

Yes...and thanks Terry...220 watts, nothing crazy...more so I can extend time geocaching (just one more!!) in the desert.

Power line getting connected. Used 4 gauge wire with gold connectors, 60 amp fuse.

Positive side battery terminal....done.

Modified protective cover to accept new power line.

Plumbing across engine compartment.

Installer selfie...#YOLO  ;D

And...let there be light.

A nice xmas gift from Daphne

Bumper lights tomorrow and a little more detailing on the roof wiring.

Oh I didn't see that you ran that 4ga to a fuse box.  Makes more sense now.

8 ga from fuse box to relays...relays to switches...and switches to roof.  30 amp relays, one for each set of lights. set up to illuminate two outside/two inside lights separately.

Snapped a few pics during retrofit, will post later.

I had originally done this install with 16 ga and 14 ga wiring, but after studying a bit, and suffering a melted power line from the inline 60 amp fuse back to the fuse block mounted inside the firewall, and using 10 ga wire for the power source, this upgrade and over kill in wiring should keep things bright and "smoke free" at night.  I also consulted the wiring How To section by Alikeli on thenewx.org.
