Just saw your pics of the AOE repair...wow man, so sorry for all the front end/back end issues you have had with them.

A real shame...maybe they should stick to sliders and skid plates.

I agree they got in over their heads with Terry's suspension.

They're skids are spot on, thanks to GhostX.

They're sliders need a little work. About two inches of more protection on either side would suffice. Maybe a bolt on option. They're working on both.

But in my opinion, Alex nailed the bumper. Tons of clearance (more than any other bumper on the market), side protection (no other bumper has this), easy access to the winch, and slick lines (no significant gap between the body and the bumper)

They haven't been fun to deal with so far, but they're trying. Growing pains are never fun. I realize they have dug themselves a bit of a hole with the So Cal Xterra community. Maybe they can dig themselves out it.

Fill dirt = a donated pair of Gen II sliders for goneMOAB in 2013. 

Would be a nice gesture after all the customer service "growing pains" AND a great marketing opportunity for Alex.

Well I should provide a current "state of my X" statemet after last weekend's outing. 

The weekend started out great arriving at the Superstition Mountain area early afternoon.    We played in the sand and did some moderate rock crawling that afternoon.

Then Saturday came and I signed up for the Wishbone run described as a RUN RATING: 4+ on a scale of 1-4 by the hard core wheelers I was with.  The run started out great lots of deep sand then we started to ascend this gulley (I might have been 20' wide at the widest).   During this ascent while I was attempting to put my rig on a four foot ledge it appears that I simultaneously broke the shaft of my coilover shock on the drivers side and "broke" the passenger side front axle.

The next two hours were spent by the San Dieog 4 wheelers Recovery Crew from the event getting me and my rig OUT of this gulley.   It took numerous winchings from me and rigs both above and below to get it turned around, headed downhill and out of the gulley.    Then another two hours to get back to the campsite doing an end around Superstition Mountain.

Then this recovery crew really kicked into action.   We worked into the night and removed the remaing parts of the coilover and welded the shaft of the shock, re-assembled the coilover and got me back on 4 wheels.

Then Sunday was dedicated to getting home.   200 miles at a very slow pace (I didn't know if the weld would hold or if the front axle would lock up due to possibility of pieces floating around in the diff or axle.

So I got home by about 8:00 PM Sunday.

Let the repairs begin.

At this time I have removed the coilover and taken it to Radflo.   They are taking two days to re-build the coilover, which includes replacement of the shock shaft.  When I get this back, I will re-install the coilover.   Then at least I will be able to drive it.   

Next step will be to replace the front passenger axle shaft and seal(I can move it back and forth appro. 1/2 inch. right now)   Hopefully that is all I broke.   

Then if that doesn't do it, I am going to have to drop the diff and open it up to see if there is any internal breakage.   If there is, then who knows where I go from there.

I have had to take care of this in phases.  Because I knew that the coilover would be gone for a while I had to park it someplace that I could get to the drivers side and leave it there for several days.   I accomplished this by backing my X into my garage leaving the drivers side exposed and at the moment I can't get to the passenger side.    So phase one was get the coilover replaced.   Next was attack the rest of the problem.   One thing I know absolutely is I broke the passenger side axle.   So once I get the coilover installed and can move the X then I will start tearing things apart and I think it will be a very good idea to get the diff at least in a position that I can get the cover off and look inside to "see what falls out".

That is my plan.

Oh yes I had already talked to Radflo and the coilovers were installed correctly...   Threads down.  He told me that these particular Coilovers are reverse.
