Thank you for that Tom.  No I got her right back in the saddle  ;)  We did Fins & Things that afternoon and Elephant Hill the next day.

 Right back in the saddle is an understatement, Terry is being modest here guys. You should have seen him on Tip Over Challenge... that guy can wheel. Then of course not to be outdone his brother says "Well if he did it twice" and procedes to follow on up. Those guys are a hoot when they are together.

DID you have to do anything special for the Fabtech lift, and did you have it professional installed of did you do it yourself.

There in lies a long story.

Too make it short:
  Front is supposed to be bolt compatible across the board.  Rear I had to go spring over Axle.  So there is some fabrication involved.  Move spring perch and lower shock mounts.

  So with the fabrication involved decided to have a "professional" installer do the work.

  Again long long story short it was screwed up royally.  Many things done wrong.   Even so far as rear leafs removed to make the back end of the truck lower.

 If I were to do it again.   I would probably do the front end myself.   Because if you can follow directions it IS truly bolt compatible.   And then find a welder to flip the spring over axle or buy a special leaf pack with the arc built in to give you the extra 6" of lift.   But remember if you go 6 or more inches you NEED to replace the drive shaft.   The OEM drive shaft will NOT handle it and because of the angles a Double Cardon drive shaft is preferable.

There my experience in a nutshell.

Two weeks ago, Pilot trail claimed a victim. Terry split his steering rack and poo-poo'd the trail.
    Luckily, I happen to have one of these.

No joke! In my garage. Brand new!

Today, we got an early start. Terry rolled into my place at 0600.
    by 0730, we gave birth....


The rack separated from itself.

   Check out the middle section on the upper one. You can see the piston.
    A little while later

   This was an absolute cake walk! Took us less than 3 hours with a good break for coffee. The biggest pain in the ass was getting the tweeked rad skid back on. Seriously.....it sucked!

  One quick test drive and all is well! Smell ya' later.
