The 11th is my birthday... Woo Hoo!!  ; D

I'll need to sort out my schedule, but I'll see if I can make it.  It'd be fun, because this'll be a repeat of the one run I went on with the club in my old '02.

I hate to say this but mark me as a def NO on this.  It sucks but the truck goes in on the 6th for its custom bumper.  Week to two weeks for the bumper.  Unless a miracle happens and the bumper gets done on Friday the 10th then I would be in.  Keep your fingers crossed!

No worries Marcin, we will leave a light on for ya'.

If it is not to late mark Harley and I in on this one! ;D

Chris...you and Harley are in!  Thanks man!!  ;D

I would really like to make this run (it will be my first with SCCX) I am stupid busy this time of year but luckily I live abut 3 miles from 247.

Sorry if this is understood or covered elseware but are "other" vics allowed on this run or just X's/Fronty's? I have a friend that just put an LS1 in his heep and wants to go if allowed. If not, no big thing, we will just go some other time, but he has never been on a run with so many rigs either.

hey everyone, I don't mean to throw a wrench into things here, but in case it wasn't mentioned before, the King of the Hammers race is in johnson valley on the 10th and there is typically a TON of people headoing out there. Although most of the traffic will be on the north side of the 247, don't be surprised if you run in to a few rigs heading up rattle snake to run  mottino wash.

has anyone here run mottino wash before?

Any vehicles are welcome, just let me know their name and vehicle make so we can add them to the attendance list in Post #1.  Also, please have them scan over the Xcursion Guidlelines for SCCX runs.

Thanks!

Hey Steve, thanks for the heads up.

I didn't remember that KOH was this weekend, but we will be on the lookout for any additional traffic on the trail.

I have not run Mottino Wash...where is it and what is the difficulty rating???

A very very large majority of the Xs frequenting this site are not capable of running Mottino Wash when it's in form.

Last time I went through there it was solid axles, crawler gears and at least 35s to make it, though it has been a bit.  And every single jeep on 35s got hung up on their diffs.

Anyone is welcome to join on the runs so long as they keep in mind that these are family oriented PG-13 runs meant to "enjoy the drive" that the Xterra offers on the trail and introduce newbies to the true outdoors.

Is there space available for camping if we want to tow the trailer up the day before?

I know there is a lot of yellow post camping in the Holcomb Valley area, but with the expected weather I am not sure about access.

Sorry!

Well so far I'm in (Chance) with the wife (Rebekah) in our X plus my friend (Jetcracker/Graham) in his Jeep.

Oh man, this is going to be fun!  For camping, there are lots of spots along the way.  Not sure about a camper trailer.  We will need 4WD to get up Big Bear and back down.

Any GPS coordinates for a spot for the trailer? I can dry camp for a night or two so I don't have to drive two plus hours to get to the meet up spot then drive four to six hours on the trail. Where is the trailhead / starting point?

Is it cool if we park and wait at the trail head; just off of 247? We will be coming from Yucca Valley.

(Not that I don't want to drive in a giant convoy of X's and such)

Here's a Google Map of the info that was posted on the 1st post. I don't know how to make it editable by anyone... I can collaborate with anyone (if you want me to invite you via your email address)
