John, I'll take just two of the die-cut text stickers. Thanks!

Hey Superslide.
if you're going to prerun Cleghorn this Sat. I would like to come along and show you what I learned last month about the different trails.
The main trail is 2WD, the off shoots are moderate with lockers , the wrong turn about 3/4 through is difficult!  Not sure if I can make the 6th, I'll keep you posted.
Of all the things I've lost...

I am curious how this trail is. I was considering bringing my truck out too, but it is mostly stock. If Nick had to pull me out of something, he would never let me hear the end of it. :P

Cleghorn is fine to run stock, just stick to the 2WD bypasses for any hard stuff.  3/4 of the way to the lake, the trail forks and gets harder (with a squeeze) but you can go the other way and just take a book or enjoy a snack while you wait for folks to finish up.

BTW, I'm a bit ticked off at the moment with Fontana Nissan...had some regular maintenance done this weekend and they tried to upsell me on $400 worth of additional service items, on a ~55K 2009 XTerra.  Supposedly I need to have them remove carbon deposits from my cylinders and throttle body...WTH?  Still plan to go to the meet up but I might skip the actual dealership part.

There's a "How-To" on TheNewX.org that you can follow about removing carbon from the throttle body.  I did it on my previous X, and noticed a slight difference in performance.  Screw that $400 number, that's ridiculous.

FYI, Shi and I might be missing out on this event, I'll know whether or not by tomorrow evening.

Sorry guys that I haven't gotten back to you sooner on the Cleghorn pre-run.  Just started a new job at a construction site in Victorville so I will pre-run it during the week on my way home down the 15 fwy.  I do have several trail maps of Cleghorn so we should miss the tough parts altogether, keep it easy for the stock trucks.
I was also thinking that we can start the run on the day of the meet by going up Sierra Ave. headed north past the 15 fwy. into Lytle Creek, and take an easy, 20 minute, 2WD friendly fire acces road at AppleWhite Rd. (2N53) over the Mtn. straight to the 15 fwy and the start of the Cleghorn trail on the other side.  From there, anyone can go home on the 15 fwy. or continue to the main trail run.

I may go to this.  I have to go up there anyway because I have a friend building me a bumper so I'll just leave my truck with him.  The only thing worse than the drive from San Diego to get there at 7:30 is the thought of having to wash my truck.

P.S.  I'll need two spaces so I can deploy the roof top tent  ;D

Well if BlackX is going, I might have to go as well.  Sounds like a fun event though, and I keep meaning on getting out and meeting you guys.  Life has a way of always interfering, but this could surprisingly work out.

Well Shi and I are still in for this!  Just means we'll be washing both our X's the night before (still trying to convince her to pick up that Pro-4X Fronty).

Hey everyone. So one of the guys from Club Frontier PMed me because I had mentioned something on there about a month ago about a possible caravan. I responded telling him to post up this thread for that meetup point information.

Does anyone care if the CF guys come on the Cleghorn run afterwards as well? Just making sure before I share that info with them!

Ok, I did the pre-run today after work and everything seems great.  The recent rain has given us a very green, very scenic trail.  As long as its sunny, this should be a very relaxing drive.
Looking forward to seeing you all there.  8-)

Update for everyone.  The shopping center where we are going to be gathering at BEFORE the actual Meet & Greet is located at 16065 Sierra Lakes Pkwy, Fontana, CA 92336 which is by a brand new America's Tire Co., a new AutoZone, a Home Depot and a Farmer Boys Burgers where anyone can get breakfast & use the restrooms.  I spoke with the manager of Americas tire & he was thrilled with us meeting there because it's a brand new store & they want exposure.  They will, however, be closed on Sundays so he has asked us not to leave any trash.  In exchange, we can use their entire parking area which has room for @ 80 trucks easily & great exposure on Citrus Ave. & also, coming off the 210 Fwy to the north.  From there we drive back over the fwy to Fontana Nissan & enjoy the day.  Anyone want to do Cleghorn Rd. OHV Trail afterwards?  We should start gauging interest for that as well.  We can start by going up Sierra Ave. past the 15 Fwy into Lytle Creek, take a short fire acces rd. over the mtn to Cleghorn..

Just clarifying, this is where we are meeting before...but was there a time decided?  Aim to be there by____, or leaving that parking lot no later then____?

Simply curious so I don't get up too early.  :)
