Look mom, I'm on TV
« on: July 26, 2012, 08:37:10 PM »
Thanks to the help of a good samaritan I was able to rescue this four month old baby girl from a sweltering hot car. The surface temperature of the seat where the child was left for ten minutes measured 140 degrees. Thank goodness the child is safe now.

Glad you were there for that baby.  I read that article today.  So mad. The mom doesn't even care.

Amazing that a parent could be so negligent in the care of their child.

Way to go Chris...to protect and serve.

The level of concern she showed for her baby and her excuses were ridiculous. I really hope the courts issue charges against her.

Completely agree.  Are you a motor officer?  Was that you in the News8 video?

Yes, I am a motor officer. I was the first to arrive on scene and the video shows me pulling the child out of the car in her carseat. The mother lied to us about how her child was left in the car and blamed it on a relative that was not with her. The surveillance video revealed her lies and how long the baby was left in the car.

I imagine one of the most difficult parts of your job is NOT thumping people like that on the head.

She deserves more than a thump on her head for doing that. Maybe lock her in the car so she knows how it feels

Cool Chris...you get paid to ride a motorcycle...awesome!

Glad there is the video back up, because it seems often times it is one word against theirs, and the truth is somewhere in the middle.  Hopefully prosecutors can use this to distribute some appropriate punishment.  Although, putting a child's life in danger like that crosses a line somewhere in my mind....between "wtf were you thinking??" and a double tap to the cranium.

Self control is a vital tool for law enforcement, the stuff we see would disgust most people.

Yeah, people look at me wierd when I tell them I ride a motorcycle for work. I think the first thing that comes to mind is motorcycle racing. I do appreciate the video backing I would just like to see the courts and public realize that we don't just make crap up for the hell of it.
