There have been some recent discussions about the SCCX initiation for new members.  Whatever you do, don't ask Bunny Max about this photo!  You will have haunting nightmares for a long time to come. :o  Although he survived the initiation, many times I have seen members raise an eyebrow and look questioning at Max wondering if there may have been some long term effects.    ;D

Marshann....Max is the new member filter, because he has the best hearing and listens so well.

We thought about this...but have decided against it.  Better to keep SCCX neutral when it comes to the site...no need for pop ups or ads etc.

Also, if the relationship goes south with service/product issues, better to keep the club impartial.

A few vendors have offered to sponsor runs/mod days etc., and keeping that relationship has worked so far.

Instead of sponsorship of the site, would vendors be willing to sponsor members? How about the ability for a vendor to extend coupon codes or free shipping....maybe a monthly or semi annual give away?

IMHO - the best way to do this is to sponsor a trail run and have a raffle on the trail or at the trail head.

I agree with John.  Its better if they sponsored a trail run because it forces the company to hit the trail with us and see the Xterra's mighty suspension flex firsthand.
