Been a bit since I have posted....but so far the newest additions are:
*4wd swap
*Airtec Snorkel
*White knuckle sliders
*Shrock skids (used and waiting for hardware to install)
*waiting patiently for Shrock to send my front and rear bumpers.

Here it is all installed.  The mount is questionable.  However, I am in love with the location of the faceplate.  It shakes around quite a bit, but I think I have a way to minimize that with a little more modding.

Radio looks good! Keep us posted on the mount and how you eliminate the vibrations. I am looking at a similar mount for a 7" tablet, because I also love that location. I feared it would vibrate a ton and your post confirmed my expectations.

A 7" tablet would not be feasible on that type of mount imo.  It would move WAY too much.  This thing moves up and down ever so slightly even at idle.  The temp fix would be to hose clamp the gooseneck to the center console next to the shifter.  That isolates it quite a bit.  I tried this theory by holding it with my hand and it is much improved.

Ideally, the pole should be rigid.  (lol, rigid pole)

Seriously though, if I was handy I would bend a piece of metal tubing to the appropriate angles and weld a seat bolt foot on it.

Looks good Steve!

I'm looking for a location to put my newly picked up Lowrance GlobalMap 480c. Might have to move either the Ham or the CB to a different location.

Thanks bud!

I have no idea what the inside of a gen 1 looks like so I'm probably no help.
However, when you get it installed I'll happily follow you.  Since now you'll know where you're going.

That thing is super cool!

I know Steveo of Rugged Rocks is heavily involved with those GPSs.  I'd check out his site or message him.  He is a really nice guy and will answer all your questions (if you have any of course)

Thanks Steve. This thing is really cool. I powered it up during lunch at work and played with it a bit. Just having extremely limited space sucks. Luckily it came with a RAM mount, but finding a good location for the mount is a little tough.

I'm checking out RuggedRoutes.com right now... Still have to get this thing dialed in. Once I get it mounted, I'll get some pictures up.

Are you going to mod the trailer to sleep in or carry toys around in?

I have some plans for it that will make it a muti use trailer. It will have some windows/side door added in and the inside will have subfloor that will fold up so I can still have the whole trailer for cargo. But for now it is as is till the X is done.

Factory battery was on its last leg.  Barely started this morning with temp in the 30's so she needed to go.
