Spent the whole day working on my new OBA setup. It consists of an ARB twin compressor and a 1 gallon aluminum ARB air tank (just to add a little bit of capacity for powering an impact wrench or something).
What have you done for your Rig lately.
I fabricated some brackets using the same kind of "angle iron" that they use for mounting garage doors and garage door openers. They may not be pretty, but they are very stout and hold everything in place just nicely. I actually pulled myself up on them once I had them in place (with the compresor and tank on them, too!) and they didn't flex even a tiny bit.

The whole setup snugs up inside my massive front bumper nicely. I wasn't a huge fan of how far off the front of the rig this bumper sticks out, but CELT gave me the idea to house my OBA setup in there since there is so much empty space. The area where the compressor sits is about as protected as the engine compartment. It has the winch mounting surface above it and solid mounting plates for the bumper on either side that attach directly to the frame. The radiator skid finishes out the protection on the bottom (not pictured - haven't reinsalled it yet). The rad skid has plenty of holes in it for ventelation, so I'm not worried about it getting too hot. Plus, the ARB twin compressor unit has a massive heat sink on each motor, and a built in fan.

I drilled holes into the sides of the bumper to run bolts and attach the bracket I made. With everything in place, the clearances are pretty good. The bottom of the ARB compressor sits about 25" off of the ground in the front, which is as deep of water crossing as I'm comfortable taking anyway without a snorkel.

The system isn't hooked up yet. My next step is to visit a local hose store to have some custom lines made. The tank uses funky JIC4 fittings. ARB makes a kit with the proper connections for it, but I'd rather just have solid or braided lines made to length. The plan is to put one air outlet in the front bumper. I already have a line running from the area around the stock air box to the rear bumper (with a fitting installed in the rear bumper) from my old OBA setup, when I had a harbor freight compressor mounted between the stock airbox and the passenger headlight. So I might also tap into that one and have another outlet at the rear.
