This came in the mail today!  After seeing Toro's being used on the trail, it was a no brainer to pick one up.
Now I just need a tire carrier to put in on.... ;)

Sweet! The newest ones have long enough straps to fit over the rear hatch without a tire carrier until your bumper finally arrives. Check out this thread from a while back, I tried it for myself: http://www.sccxterra.com/smf/index.php/topic,2981.0.html

It's a little bit of a pain to slip the buckle off of the strap in order to feed the strap through the tiny space between the top of the hatch and the roof of the truck, but for a long trip it's worth it. One thing to note is that it'll force your hatch closed with only just a little bit of weight in it, even if your hatch struts are in good shape, so bring along a stick or something to prop the hatch open when you're breaking camp and packing up your rig if this thing is mounted on your hatch. One of those adjustable ski-pole type hiking sticks does the trick for me. :)

It might be more of a question to Trashoo themselves, but I see that Trasharoo has their address in Forest Falls in the San Bernardinos; has anyone tried local pickup from them instead of shipping? I gotta get a bag from them once my bumper is done.  :)

Confession:  I kinda cheated.  I wanted free shipping so I ordered off Ebay

Spent the whole day working on my new OBA setup. It consists of an ARB twin compressor and a 1 gallon aluminum ARB air tank (just to add a little bit of capacity for powering an impact wrench or something).

I fabricated some brackets using the same kind of "angle iron" that they use for mounting garage doors and garage door openers. They may not be pretty, but they are very stout and hold everything in place just nicely. I actually pulled myself up on them once I had them in place (with the compresor and tank on them, too!) and they didn't flex even a tiny bit.

The whole setup snugs up inside my massive front bumper nicely. I wasn't a huge fan of how far off the front of the rig this bumper sticks out, but CELT gave me the idea to house my OBA setup in there since there is so much empty space. The area where the compressor sits is about as protected as the engine compartment. It has the winch mounting surface above it and solid mounting plates for the bumper on either side that attach directly to the frame. The radiator skid finishes out the protection on the bottom (not pictured - haven't reinsalled it yet). The rad skid has plenty of holes in it for ventelation, so I'm not worried about it getting too hot. Plus, the ARB twin compressor unit has a massive heat sink on each motor, and a built in fan.

I drilled holes into the sides of the bumper to run bolts and attach the bracket I made. With everything in place, the clearances are pretty good. The bottom of the ARB compressor sits about 25" off of the ground in the front, which is as deep of water crossing as I'm comfortable taking anyway without a snorkel.

The system isn't hooked up yet. My next step is to visit a local hose store to have some custom lines made. The tank uses funky JIC4 fittings. ARB makes a kit with the proper connections for it, but I'd rather just have solid or braided lines made to length. The plan is to put one air outlet in the front bumper. I already have a line running from the area around the stock air box to the rear bumper (with a fitting installed in the rear bumper) from my old OBA setup, when I had a harbor freight compressor mounted between the stock airbox and the passenger headlight. So I might also tap into that one and have another outlet at the rear.

That looks really good. I think you will like how you have it set up. I've had no trouble with mine and know the compressor gets enough air it won't run too hot.

Custom air line has been obtained, and adapters have been installed on the other end of the tank so I can tap it into my existing lines/ports on the rig. Hoping to have some time tomorrow evening to run the wiring and get it all hooked up.

While I haven't touched the truck in three weeks because I'm out of town, my Hep's Designs roof basket showed up two days after I left.  These lights should also be delivered today.  Sliders and front bumper should be done any day.  There's going to be parts galore waiting to go on the truck when I get back.  It's going to be fun day.  So really, I haven't done anything to the truck lately, just order parts.

Nice. Just curious where you plan to mount everything (especially the tank)? Removing/relocating the spare tire?

No change in spare location.  Went through the whole tire swing-away with my BroncoII.  It is a pain for as much as I access the rear storage.  No, I will find a spot for this tank, or some smaller ones I already have.  I will see if I can fit the compressors behind the front bumper on the wing arms for my hidden winch mount.  I need to have everything in hand before I start that process.

Holy Moly that looks nice.. Any reason in specific why you chose to go with a double pump motor setup?

By using two separate pumps (rather than the double pump like the ARB or tank-mounted pumps) I can put them in smaller areas.  My intention is to plumb the vehicle from the front to the rear.  So I could actually put one pump up front and one in back, with the tank somewhere in between, all connected by hard lines and SS flex lines.  Plus if one pump fails, I will have a backup!  It is going to be a fun project.

Joe...you should do a separate write up of that install for easy forum search access. Hint...hint.  ;)
