Finally installed my snorkel.  Got it in last year's group buy on The New X (as in, a year ago!).  There was always something more urgent to be done.

I also ordered this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/122108897278

To get rid of the funky hose clamp.

And this:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/54045335

To reduce the dust consumption on our trail runs.

Turned out very nice, great job! You X is really getting outfitted very nicely these days!

Curious how that pre-filter will work out. I remember reading somewhere that it's a bad idea to use a pre-filter in the snorkel for the Xterra, but I don't remember what the reason was (and it seemed kind of far fetched, if I remember correctly).

I plan on swapping it for the street scoop when I am airing down.  There are some other pre-filters that look like a sock that hangs down inside the snorkel tube.  I could see that becoming a problem since you can't easily check to see if it is full, or got sucked down further into the tube!  :o

I guess I shouldn't talk about watching footage of the Vietnam war on the nightly news then. It is good we have a buncha you youngsters around to show me how to turn on that wireless phone everyone seems to be using these days.

Journey (Frontier album) with Brian Adams opening with his debut Cuts Like a Knife album, Apr. 7th 1983 - I had to look it up.  I was already 19, not a lot of choices for concerts when you live in a small town in Iowa.
