Well, just arriving home from work and get 2 packages. Late Xmas gift & early bday gift.
New Cobra CB unit and antenna set up. :) Nice... Planning out how to hook it up to my 1st gen.

Cobra 19 Ultra II, Firestik 4ft with spring & cable. Just need a mount.

Just finished putting CB in. Yesterday a man named Billy-Bob used a $600 digital SWR meter that plugged directly into coax to tune the antenna. Super nice guy. Ham Radio Outlet in Anaheim. He's the CB guy there.

Billy Bob is a pretty knowledgable dude.  Little quirky, though!
He helped me with my ham-tenna and hood mount. 

When are you going to study up and get that ham license?

Just completed my CB set up on my 1.5gen. Firefly 4ft antenna, Firestik mount, Cobra 19 III Cb radio. Will have the boys over at HAM outlet in Anaheim to tune it up. Next, configure an external mag mount antenna for my BaoFeng UV-5R for abit more range. Well see that Bobby over at the outlet has to say about my setup. No worries, will be going for my license soon.

CB is the first step and I still keep mine hooked up , just snapped my firestik on a Joshua Tree on the Mojave

Erik - you can't take a picture but you can figure out how to make that thing scroll across the page? I don't even know what those are called, much less how to make them move like that.

AND........back on topic......

Pepe is such a giver, we decided to return the love this weekend (aka yearly maintenance) : removed and cleaned mud off skid plates (oh Mojave....) , pulled out winch cable and cleaned mud/gunk off, adjusted wiring for OBA, upgraded RTT straps (velcro was losing holding power), and moved RTT mounts forward on FR Rack (moving weight over center of vehicle).

Things to get done this week and coming weekend:  paint skids and re-mount, rotate tires, alignment (yay for lifetime alignments), change ALL the fluids (engine, front diff, transmission, and transfer case), and get Airbag recall taken care of.
