Most definitely!

I'm putting off my diff drop for now.  Let me know if you're coming so I can start sending out my address.

I got the address but it looks wierd with the hyphen is this correct?

It correct.  That's the way they do it out here in the boonies.  Use a comma if it works better.  Anyone else need the address?
I'd rather be happy than right any day.

Bummer...

My inspiration is gone...  :'(
My dreams are shattered...  :-\
My Otterpops are melted...  :-[

If the diff gasket comes we will do it. ;)

Read my post as I have attached instruction for the drop. No gasket needed. But there is one hitch. We need a sawza or some gasoline to burn out the old bushing and then pry out the old metal shim. Another another reason I want Spencer to go since he has done this. You remove the cv on the inside , like I did in your driveway but the inside and then remove the front of the diff and then crossmember. Looks easy enough but the shim part.

Quick question: Is it ok to do a diff drop on a stock torsion-bar-cranked front suspension? With future UCA upgrade in mind?
Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst!

I will see what I can do.  I will try to see if Ace carry what I need. If not,  I will try to skip lunch and go to mcfadden dale for some.
I actually never did the diff drop, but it can't be that hard.  you don't need gas, all you need is a propane torch to melt the bushing.

Gasoline?  Propane Torch?

Mitch, how many fire extinguishers have you got on hand?  Also, who's bringing the video cam?

I need the gasket because I have a spiffy way of doing this.  I have all the brackets and stuff the diff attaches to so I will prep them with then new bushings and then remove and replace the old ones.  The bonus is that the diff gets fresh oil in the process.

I'll start sending out my address tonight.
I'd rather be happy than right any day.

I am thinking more along the lines of sawza. Somthing about Mitch and Fire concerns me. It might be safe since Frank will be there but I dont know.....

Once the spacer is out. There still is the problem of getting this metal sleeve out that was once attached to the spacer. This is the part that has me wondering.

You're right to say "but I don't know...".  If I see fire coming from under a truck with a 20 gallon gas tank, and all I've got in my hand is a piss-ant little fire extinguisher, you can be pretty sure that my basic survival instinct will override my other senses and I'll be running down the street screaming wildly. Come to think of it, I may park my truck a few doors down too.
