I'm really looking forward to this run. The X has been too clean for too long.

Is the OHV park the same spot, down the trail from Santiago Peak?

It's like Justin said, south of Ortega Hwy and it looks like more fun, i.e. no fence at the top of the hills. ;D

Its in the southern part of the CNF, south of the 74...

Website say currently CLOSED.....

It usually reopens after 24hours post rain/wet weather.

I saw that same message awhile back on their website...and it wasn't rainy weather...???

Dang! Truck stops are sketchy!!

 ;D

lol

My father was a truck driver. retired.

My rules:
Don't go after dark.
Don't go alone.
Act a little "sketchy"

and one fits right in...

also can get deals (sometimes) on a real Thermos and fire extinguishers. I'm a bargain shopper  ;D

sorry. I'm a tad out of the loop here. Been submerged in work.  So, other than a forest pass (which we have) do we need any other sticker/permit for this ride?

Tim...I have a mag mount antenna someone gave me from BB...said it was yours?

If it's a pig-tail type, probably.

I would venture to say If we on OTT by 0830 as planned, we should be off NLT 5.

Trail conditions / Group will dictate. The nice thing is, if time runs longer, You can always jam out down Silverado Canyon or head south back to Ortega so you can make your Poker Game. You'll just have to split the winnings with the attendees.  ;D

Pretty stoked. For the first time in 6 years my wife will join me on a run. We'll also be bringing two of our three kids along. Looking forward to some exploring.
