Please remember to pick up a CB. I will not be doing FRS again this year. We will communicating 100% by CB. Ham radio will only be used to talk isht about those with out Ham radio's . With a group this size, Ham will be used to have solid Comm'd btwn lead and tail....and god forbid, in case of emergency. There are many reasonable options available.

Here's a bare bones set up with an on board ant (rubber duck). The trucks metal body will kill reception but it's some thing.

I would hold off on expanding.  Last year we had lots of last minute cancelations.  Worse case, we call it two groups, one with less than 7 trucks, so no permit needed. M2Cs

I completely agree.  Last minute cancellations happen and yeah....life does pop up once in a while.
