So it looks like meet spot is set in Temecula, Shell gas station off of Hwy 15/Hwy 79 exit.

Then run out the 79 to the Aguanga turn off, to Hwy 371.

Hwy 371 to Bautista road, to the Rouse Hill Truck Trail, over the hills to the 74.  Quick right/east turn up to the Bee Canyon Trail.

Bee Canyon Trail up to Idyllwild.

These are all very capable 2WD/4WD trails from what I have read on the net.  Even a few geocaches out there, so load those caches and happy hunting!!!

Awesome! Thanks for checking it out the trail, RB. Glad you got this thread started Pilot.

Edit:

... we can meet in Temecula at the Shell station and Del Taco on the S/E corner of 79 and Margarita at 9:am

See ya bright n' early. Can't find said Shell on google maps but I can be at the Del Taco at 9. Unless the Shell at 26680 Ynez Road, 92591 would be better?

The shell is on the left side of the freeway if your going north. It has a huge US flag flying at all times can't miss it.

Looks like 29115 Front Street, 92590. Thanks for clearin' that up!

I was thinking of a different shell but I like this idea better, as it's easier for everyone to find, just west of the freeway and pilot gave us an address for googlers and such.
Thank for all the input guys.  See ya at 9:00

Have fun guys...wish I could make this one but kinda need a "home day" after the holidays and a busy work week.

Please take some photos so I can post up to the club's Facebook page. (thanks Nilda in advance  ;))

It's been a long time since I've set an alarm clock and apparently I need to read the manual again.  :-[  I'm probably going to be way too late but am heading out now.  Don't wait for me because I see on sigalert.com that it won't be smooth sailing.  I'm coming from the West Covina area.  If anything, I'll have a nice drive for my Saturday morning.  Have fun guys if I don't find you.

Thanks Toro,
We did have better weather.  We had sunshine, then light rain ,then hail, then snow, woo hooooooo!!  Absolutely Funtastic day with a great group.  Knowbody knew anybody when we met, and now we are the godfathers of each others children and first born.
We had clean air, muddy fun and met two nice folks in a Jeep ???
Thanks to Jason, Marshann, Joey and his shotguner Biko for such a great day.
Pics to follow.  We're pooped ;)
