I was lucky to meet up with everyone at the start of Bee Canyon.  Randy did an excellent job trail leading and came through with everything he promised

Awesome Pics Marshann!!!! Looks like an amazing run, like always. I'm bummed I missed it. But, it makes me that much more to meet up with this motley crew again soon.

I second Ray's comments...looks like you are back to your top form as Xcursion photobug!

Is that Odinson in the group shot with Randy/Nilda/Jason??

Nice to see a new member out on a rainy/snowy/blustery day!

Thanks Randy for taking everyone on a great trail...we need to add this one to our 2WD run list for sure!!

Log another successful SCCX run in the books.  :)

Very nice guys. We still need to do the complete run. I need to go on this so I can take the family.

Yesterday was amazing! From dirt to mountains to snow - the timing was perfect, the weather waiting for us to reach the top to give us some snow. The timing couldn't have been more perfect. So much fun, Randy did an awesome job leading the way and Marshann & Jason completed a truly entertaining group. I'll add some pictures to the mix!

On our way to Bee Canyon.

Through some mud.

Climbing into the mountains!

First snows touched down.

I'm in the blue shirt, my vocalist & shotgunner Biko in the black shirt (long hair). It was an awesome trek and Randy, Nilda, Jason & Marshann were so kind to let me come along & try out the X! The first of many adventures with the club. Now I've gotta get my lift & order my sticker...  8)

Looks like fun! I might be interested in going back up to idyllwild soon with all the freash snow they are getting up there. I was up there with the fam a couple weeks ago and that forest road that is up there that was mentioned in the first page of posts is prettycool, didnt do the whole thang but what I saw was fun. Its a good chance to play aaround in the snow

This run was so much fun and it was great meeting some of the SCCX crew. This was cool little trail. Can't wait to do some more runs. Here's a few pics I took.

I remember that section of the trail as we were coming down.  By then it had turned into thick, slick, nasty mud.  I would start out on the high side of a curve but my rear would totally slide toward the mountain with the weight of the tire carrier on the back adding to the pull.  The first time that happened, it caught me off guard and, although I steered into the slide, I came to a stop with my rear just inches from the mountain.  So I powered out of it still steering into the slide which fishtailed me around and got me back on track.  Each time I got to an inclined curve, I would whip my steering wheel to the left to stop the slide, right to get up back up on the high side, and then do it nonstop all over again.  When the road straightened out some, I saw the rear of Randy

OK, OK, when I said "pics to follow" apparently I ment all the great pictures you've seen here from everyone else.  Just when I thought I had PhotoBucket figured out, they 'improved' it.  My photos don't look nearly as good anyway, so by the time I get a handle on the new PhotoBucket (bad pun intended) nobody will care, least of all me.
I really appreciate all the kind words from the gang, concidering that I led them into an icy dead end.  But as GhostX says: since I didn't post any photos maybe it didn't happen ;D

Here is a link to the rest of my pictures.  Fallbook to Idyllwild Xcursion

The original picture size is pretty large, so you may want to view them in L or XL and then download/save them from there.  Feel free to save any pictures you want.  I will eventually go back and get the number of pictures down to a more manageable size.  I just wanted to give anybody the opportunity to decide which photos they want.

If you have any trouble downloading the pictures or want any pictures removed (for a nominal fee), please let me know.  Slideshow, fast helps get through the pictures quickly.

BTW, notice the guys wearing just t-shirts in the snow.  Only in California! 8)
