Came home late last night with a rear diff hemorrhaging oil. Ment to look at it this morning but now it's raining. Was thinking it's the pinion seal but it looks to be coming from above. Thought about a busted brake line but it definitely smells like gear oil.
   The only thing I can think of is that I blew the seal around the wiring bung for the locker.
   I have to wait till it stops raining and get under there.

That sucks. What's with all the leaking seals just before a big trip?!? Are the Xterra gods playing a bad joke on us all, or simply testing our faith?

   The seal was destroyed. Came out in chunks.

Still have to bolt on the drive shaft and fill the diff with oil. If I didn't screw this up, we should be good for this weekend.
