Weld them or not, I wouldn't recommend cutting the slider. The "L" shape bracket that attaches to the frame gives support for virtical hits and hi-lifting.
    And yes, both use the same spot on the frame

You could use the few bolts on the white knuckle sliders that don't need holes drilled to hold them tight to the frame while welding them on.

Those White Knuckle sliders are awesome, I wish they were around when I got my sliders, they look BA.

Ordered the front and rear bumpers (all a little custom) and a full set of skid plates from Hefty yesterday.  Chris told me it would be about 12 weeks.  Also ordered the White Knuckle sliders.  2 weeks for those.  Anyone have any suggestions for a less expensive but reliable winch with synthetic?

Thanks for the info Terry.  Excellent article.  I almost went with Superwinch...still thinking about it.  I do like the fact that Warn is manufactured here.
