Hey guys how's it going?

Purchased a 2011 Xterra S 4x4 at the end of March and so far I'm loving it! Can't wait to start modding it.




Here are the mods I've planned so far.

2-3in Suspension lift with Bilstein 5100s all around.
Shrockworks front and rear bumper
Skids
Volant CAI
Catback Exhaust

When the time comes for new tires, I'll just go with a whole new set of tires and wheels.

So far I've taken it through Silverado, the Bedford truck trail (great little spot to camp on the side of it maybe halfway up the hill?) and through the riverbed in Trabuco.

Great, another rare Lava rig!  Welcome to the club Adio.  We got a lot of good guys over there in OC. 
Most of us started with rock sliders for protection as a first mod.  Look around the site and you will get lots of ideas.

Totally forgot to add those to the list! My mom has constantly complained about the height difference compared to the murano , not sure how much the sliders will help her since I'll probably order some from shrockworks for a 2-3in lift.

And just a note, the "shrockworks sliders with the 2-3 inch lift option" are just if you are doing a body lift not a suspension lift.   If you are doing only a suspension lift, get the "No lift or suspension lift only" option

265's are technically 32's (I THINK)

285's are 33's (AGAIN, I THINK)

either will fit under stock wheel wells with a tiny bit of rubbing; to fix that, head on over to

thenewx.org, then search for 'melt mod'

I'm definitely going to do that melt mod instead of spending more money on a body lift.  Either today or tomorrow im gonna do the rear differential breather mod.

    You don't need a body lift to run 33's on a GenII. You can run 33's (285/75/16) with only the melt mod.

Interesting....I've heard about this and met a guy from TNX who had his done and the breather was in a tail-light.

Only if you spend time with your axle under water and the check valve doesn't work.  IMHO I did not worry about the little water crossings we did in Mojave. (That's why I drove through them so fast )  I'm sure others can chime in with there experiences

Awesome!  My mod list looks a lot like yours (I'm going the Hefty route for bumpers)

The Lava really is a great color.  Goes well with dirt!
