This is one of the tougher trails in or area.

These trails are fun and technical and stretch the capabilities of an IFS rig.

Sliders
Skid plates
One locker
3" Lift
33's are a minimum must for IFS rigs!
Front and rear bumpers are suuuuper recommended. The drop in and relief angles coming down Doran are a wh@re!
     I hate putting requirements on a run, but this trail is no joke.
     Bring your huevos, nerves of steel, a change of draws, drink your Red Bull and check your ego at the trail head. If you think your better than this trail? Have a flat bed waiting for you.
   We will in no way, shape or form entertain the idea of doing Doran's "Gate Keeper".

    Bring a sac lunch and drinks. No Betty Whites on this run!



This can take a good chunk of the day.....especially if we find other ways to stay entertained.

For the record I don't like the idea of the shelf road at the top of Odessa. It's gotten sketchy.

If Kenny's Nissan buggy makes it out there one way or another. It'll go up gatekeeper. We were playing on it going up n down a few months ago. I have entertained the idea in the pathfinder.. but well.. its got a lot of sheetmetal.

Here is a different view of the same road. Guys are going up the middle of and eroding the edge of the road.


Im my group, I went first and I thought I was going to flop. My front right got real light as the rear left sank. A good spot will get you through that....you just got to trust your spotter.

My January and February are pretty booked I'm volunteering for the YMCA next weekend and Presidents' weekend and I'm doing the Hero Hustle on the 25th... Sundays are a little easier for me to ask for time off. I may be able to swing the 9th... I've been reading about Calico and REALLY want to get out there. I think I'm going to finish my sliders on Tuesday.
