Hello Adopt-a-Trail Volunteers, the local BLM area (Barstow Field Office) and parts of the San Bernardino National Forest have seen a recent spate of criminal activities.  An organized group has been targeting off highway vehicle signs.  Changing area names, trail difficulty levels and posting rabbit trails/closed routes as being open routes to motorized vehicles.

All Adopt-a-Trail Groups, please get out on your trails and check the OHV signs that are posted asap.  I have the sign materials available for any repairs.  Please remember to log your volunteer hours.

I will have more information as it becomes available.

If there is anybody available to run 2N02 and verify the OHV signs, please post up we may be able to get an impromptu run.
Terry

Danny,
Wish I could  have a commitment this afternoon, but tomorrow morning early early would be doable.

Didn't see anyone up there and I wasn't sure where the adopted trail was. So we just ran gold mtn and Jacoby. At gold mtn, there was a giant bolder blocking one of the first staircase so you have to go left instead of right. Didn't see any issues with the trail makers on both these trails.

So how many hours did you put in door to door?  We can log that for our group with AAT.   And I will pass your findings on to FS.

Hey Terry,  that day I got hit by the UTV....we actually spent a few hours on 2n02 cleaning up at the shooting ranges.
I was so caught up with the accident, I forgot all about it.

Started at 1000 left the mtn at 1430 I don't know if that really count as volunteering since we were having too much fun. All I did was check for trail marker at beginning and end of both trails. And notice a shifted bolder on Gold Mtn.

So you live in BB?   Was there any commute time involved?

Danny if you spent some time up there we get to charge time spent to AAT basically the way Greg puts it Door to Door.
