Wow what great work you guys. Totally impressive. So what about the other half of the car? Will we need the trailer again to get it down? Winches? Straps? Chains? How much heavier is the front half versus the rear half? I'm assuming the block minus heads is still considerable weight. Can we drag it? Danny Bogner seemed to believe that was possible, but I'm deferring that to you guys that were up there?

The availability of equipment will affect when we can do this again. I believe that others of us need to get up there to help. Hell even if only to haul spare parts for Randy

Sorry that I haven't been engaged with this forum lately but the earthquake epicentered here in La Habra and it's 200+ little buddies has created some significant disruption to my household. But I'm coming back. So I'm really interested in helping finish this project. This a real accomplishment for our organization, people in BB have been talking about this car for probably more than 40 years.

P.S. From you folks that were there I would like to have your total hours invested in this project so that we can get the visibility to the AAT effort.

Terry-

For AAT hours please report 16 hours each for 6 adults, plus 32 hours for one very well behaved kid-o (Christoher) for a total of 128 hours.

Hey Terry, the next trip will still need an offroad trailer, cutting tools, wrenches and plenty of hands to load the heavy pieces.
Weekdays are still best for me.

That's great Randy but most of us are busy on weekdays, so you are loosing a great deal of your manpower.

Another thing is Danny Bogner volunteered his 5 ton truck and thinks he can drag it down the hill. Is that feasible to those of you that worked it? The only thing he was concerned with was stuff falling off in transit. If we gouge it up enough maybe that will just make the FS grade it making the thing even smoother.

IMO - dragging for three plus miles down Burns Canyon doesn't make sense.

Finding a way to load on a trailer - even if that takes a little time/patience/planning at this point seems worth revisiting.

Just asking. I would just like to see us do this with the least possibility for injury. Now engine hoists, could they be used to lift things onto a trailer?
